This switch solved the long-standing issue of no-crank or delayed cranking of the starter motor, even after replacing the old battery, cleaning up the already clean battery cable connections and adding an additional ground cable between the battery, chassis and starter mounting bolt. The switch is identical to the original pulled off the car and it was made in Taiwan by the japanese company NGK/NTK, who is (among others) the main supplier of switches, sensors, electronic and electric equipment for the japanese auto makers.UPDATE: after a few days, I got again the same issue of no-crank. It turned out (again) to be the switch: it was making contact in the N (Netural) position of the shifter, but intermittent contact in the P (Park). Very disappointing. Had to run across town to get another switch from an auto parts store and then to return the NTK switch to Amazon.Note: the reliability of the new replacement auto parts is nowhere should be, for the last few years and this is is not the only auto part that failed after a short period of time.
