First switch received was bad. After communicating with the seller, the seller promptly sent me a replacement. The new switch works great. I'm able to share my dual monitors between my home desktop and my work laptop. I can easily switch back and forth between the two by pressing the Home key and the 1 or 2 key to access the desktop or laptop. I have no complaints!I have multiple monitors and multiple computers and had some very high hopes and a specific use for this KVM. When I opened the box I was extremely surprised at the size of this thing. My initial thought was it reminded me of the Giant universal remote I once had as a gag gift. I honestly thought this would be half of its size. It is 10" long x 4.5 wide and about 1.5 thick. The buttons are very large and well lit. It is a very heavy duty unit and has the ability to wall mount as well as the power connector actually screws in so it wont fall out. I had to tighten the nut where the power connector screws on as mine was loose. Also the Keyboard ability to switch inputs is a very nice feature. All of the HDMI and USB connectors fit very tight so they wont come out easily. The additional 2 port hub on the side is a great bonus. Another nice bonus is that they include 2 HDMI cables for you as most KVMs only include one cable that would go from the KVM to the monitor. Any more HDMI cables you probably already have. This KVM does work well and it has a nice industrial / quality feel to it. Here are the reasons why I gave it a lower star rating. On my 4k x 30Hz monitor which was my target monitor for this device, I was only able to achieve 1080px60hz no matter what I did. Interestingly I was able to achieve 4k@ 60Hz on a different Samsung monitor. Also, I would expect at minimum USB 3.0 instead of the USB 2 which is what this device is across the board. It is too large for me to use on another monitor situation where it would need to mount on the swing arm. Overall a good KVM, im just not sure about always getting the rated 4k @30Hz and check and make sure the nut holding the power adapter is not loose. Just tighten it and you will be fine.I didn't realize how much I wanted (or needed) a good KVM switch until now. My setup is as such: I have my main PC, a backup storage/server PC next to it, and then I have a mini PC that I have Linux installed ont, which I use for web development.I had been using remote desktop to the server PC, but whenever I wanted to work on the Linux box I literally had to unplug my monitor and keyboard/mouse cables, switch them over, do whatever work I needed, switch back if I got an email or Skype/Discord message I needed to answer. If it sounds tedious, believe me it was.I got a new gaming monitor recently which helped a *lot* in that I could use my old monitor permanently tethered to the Linux box, but I still had to switch my keyboard and mouse. Enter this delightful little box.Now when I need to switch, I just hit a couple of hotkeys. The box stays out of sight, out of mind underneath my desk, and my cable management has even improved as I no longer have 6 feet of braided keyboard and mouse cable all over the place, but running under the desk, with the return cables zip tied into a streamline up to each of the three computers. As an added bonus, I have the new gaming monitor on DisplayPort for its 144hz goodness, but the old monitor is still perfectly serviceable with an HDMI cable, so I have it primed to jump between systems instead, or when I'm not using it for other things, watching movies while gaming.I'd like to do some testing to see if it can passthrough 144hz over an HDMI 2.0/2.1 cable, but I unfortunately don't presently own any (that I'm aware of. My AmazonBasics HDMI cable might be? I'll look into it this weekend and edit this review if necessary!), but, for my needs and setup, it's perfect.Overall:I’ve been using this KVM switch with a new Surface laptop from work, a Dell laptop, and a desktop computer. It’s at least as good as other KVM switches I’ve had. There was some issues with the keyboard early on, but that turned out to be a problem with the desktop computer, not the KVM. I’ve had no trouble with video, pushing QHD (2560x1440 @60Hz), because that’s what my monitor will do. I haven’t needed to use the USB ports for high speed transfers.Pros:- Easy to set up- Looks nice on the desk- Active button is lit, great for low light areas- Seller’s description is accurate- Comes with cables, 4 USB, 2 HDMI, and a power adapterCons:- None really… it does just what a KVM is supposed to doOther:- Really improves life if you need to use your work computer and home computer at the same desk. This allowed me to move everything to a single desk, push a button and go from the work laptop to the home desktop. For the price, this is a great little switch. This KVM is my new daily driver for my desk's third monitor. I have three computers connected to it and Nintendo Switch, and two of those computers need to use it as a mouse/keyboard hub. It shipped with 4 USB cables to connect to the switch if the USB ports are to be used, but they are completely optional, which is a HUGE plus for me as I cannot plug unapproved USB devices into it, so I am still able to use it. It also shipped with 2 HDMI cables which is awesome because realistically it should only really need to come with 1 to connect to the output display, but if you don't already have an HDMI cable for your computer to connect to the KVM you will appreciate this subtlety.
